Tb Skin Test please help

Sandra

Hello,

I hope that you guys can help me out on this one. I am required to volunteer at a clinic due to my major but they want me to take a Tb skin test by injecting tubulin. I already took it, the images presented (from all angles) are from after 24 hrs of the injection. I know it takes 48-72 hrs to get results but I am really panicking from how huge it’s gotten.

My concern is that the bump decreased within the same day of application (morning day) and everything was back to normal, even during the night. It changed after I went to work (approx 16-17 hrs after application) because I wore a long sleeved sweater and I carry heavy stuff so I pretty much rubbed the area a lot. I forgot I was not supposed to and once I got home, took the sweater off, the mark became huge and red as you’ll see in the pics.

Now, that may have nothing to do or it may, but other factors that contribute to my concern is that at birth I was given a BCG vaccine.

To conclude, does it look like it is positive? Is it too early to conclude? And if it comes positive but it turns out to be latent, can I still be able to volunteer?

Thank you for your time.
