Need some advice for how to handle this work situation

I’m supposed to enter orders as part of my job. They get sent from the buyer and then to the supplier.

I got an email Friday as I was clocking out and it asked if I received the order. They had asked the supplier where the order was as it hadn’t arrived. The supplier said they never received the order.

I searched for the order and I in fact missed the order but I’m searching I accidentally deleted it and it’s not in my deleted folder.

The protocol is they send orders to an order inbox and that inbox forwards the emails to us. They sent directly to me.

How do I handle this? Can I just say I don’t see it in my email and ask if they can re-send it? Or do I ask if it was sent to the order inbox then ask they resend it?
