Does raspberry leaf tea induce labor?

I just found out if I go into labor before 36 weeks I will not be allowed to deliver at the hospital I’ve chosen because they don’t have a NICU. I am currently 31 weeks and I recently ordered raspberry leaf tea and was planning on starting to drink at least one cup a day along with gentle birth drops. I wanted to drink this tea because I’m wanting to do a unmedicated birth but now I’m afraid it would send me into labor before 36 weeks and I would get sent to a hospital I don’t want to go to. There is conflicting information online as to whether the tea will send you into labor or if it actually just prepares your uterus.

It won't induce labor. The idiots at the ob/midwife practice where I delivered my first had me drinking upwards of a liter a day from 36 weeks on and it did jack squat for making labor easier or faster, it just made my prodromal labor worse.

I started drinking in every day, usually twice a day from 32ish weeks onward and had my baby at 40 weeks exactly and my second at 39w 1 d. First labor was super long and terrible, second was 5 hours and amazing. It’s not supposed to induce labor, you’ll be fine!

I wish. I’m 38+3 and I try to drink it every day for labor prep. I would love it if it sped the process up but unfortunately it is just a tonic for your uterus. There aren’t really many “tricks” or things one can consume over the counter that bring on labor. Sometimes if you’re over, walking or stretching can help encourage baby down the birth canal and get labor started, but it really just depends on baby.

It’s supposed to help soften your cervix but it wont induce labor. I started drinking it at 35 weeks as one of my labor preps. Run it by your ob but I’m sure it’s completely fine!
