Have any of you been diagnosed with a heart valve regurgitation(leaky heart valves) since you got pregnant? At a checkup with my regular doctor she heard a pronounced heart murmur and ordered an EKG & Echo which reveled that I have a mild case of heart valve regurgitation. I'm waiting to be referred to a cardiologist and to hear back from my OB. Of course the waiting has me super worried but it's hard to imagine that it's serious since I've never had any symptoms related to this condition. Also, I've read that increased blood volume during pregnancy can make minor heart murmurs sound worse. My main concern is that labor and delivery might be altered or controlled in some way. Has anyone else had experience with this?
