FRER tests

Vic(Tori)a • Just trying to make sense of this mixed up world we live in 🩷

How notorious are frer tests for indents? I'm 9 days late for af and have taken 3 dollar store cheapies that were negative. This morning I took a frer and I swear I can see the faintest pink line (camera wont pick it up) I dont want to get my hopes up but I'm starting to feel defeated... I'll test again friday

Horrible!!! I had some very convincing indent lines on FRER. I’ve vowed to never take another again unless I have a positive on another brand first. They’re nice for progress lines but anything else, trash.

Lately they’ve been bad. Plus at 9 days late you’d have a very obvious positive. You likely ovulated later than you think or haven’t ovulated yet at all

Ok thanks for the input. I have two more tests so if they're still negative and no af by monday I'll make an appointment

Due to later ovulation. How are you tracking and confirming ovulation?

I hear ya. The journey is hard. I’m 6 years in and diagnosed with Uterine Cancer down a tube and did a FET in Oct and no heartbeat at 6 weeks. It’s so hard. I’ll be 40 in Nov.

You should track. You will know your cycle better. If you want accuracy track your cycle with opks to let you know when your about to ovulate and BBT to confirm ovulation and you will know when you ovulated, dpo, luteal phase length (is from the day after ovulation to period which stays the same each cycle give or take 1-2 days. Average length is 12-14 days give or take 1-2 days.) when period is coming by temp drop or if you miss your period and your temp stays up then there is a chance for pregnancy. Huge advocate for tracking. BBT literally saved my life.

I'm not tracking... And I think my period just showed up cuz I'm spotting now. Being a woman is dumb.. I don't like this journey at all 😞

FRER tests are known for their sensitivity and accuracy, but like any other test, they can sometimes produce indents or evaporation lines that can be mistaken for a positive result. It's best to wait a few days and retest to confirm the result. If you continue to have concerns or questions, it's always a good idea to speak with your healthcare provider.
