2 deaths in the family and we just had our son

I’m trying my hardest to be a rock for my Fiancé. His grandfather (his dads dad) passed away 3 1/2 weeks before our son was born on March 18th 2023. We welcomed our son April 14th. They were really close and his grandad was really looking forward to hopefully meeting the baby. He had preexisting health conditions so we knew he was going to pass it was just a matter of when. I knew it was going to be hard for him to be here mentally but he still managed to give it his best and he’s been doing really well since then and has been a great new dad. He calls me frantic at work yesterday telling me his grandmother had passed (his moms mom). Nobody had heard from her since Thursday and ultimately when they went to check on her Friday it resulted in his brother having to kick her apartment door down and they found her. He is not doing so well and it hurts me so much to know there isn’t much I can do. He’s been trying to stay distracted with the baby but I know he is hurting inside. He barely slept or ate and I wish I could take all his pain away. I wish I could take his whole family’s pain away!
