Any success conceiving on Metformin?

So I wad diagnosed with PCOS about a year and a half ago & we are TTC baby #1. I have been put on metformin 500 mg 3x a day so 1500 total. Doc said it could take up to 6 months to work.. I'm just wanting to know if anyone has had any success with metformin alone and if so how long did it take? Or am I just waisting my time?

I got pregnant on metformin alone. I was on 2000mg a day it took about a yeAr and a half

I conceived #1 with metformin alone. Into on for about 6-7 months, stopped for a few months then started it again. Started taking Jan 2012 and got a bfp may 4 2012. But we also were only loosely tracking. I also toon 500mg 3x per day.
