Am I Wrong To Be Upset?

Question

I just had a c-section May 8th and still healing and my husband has his vasectomy this friday the 12th. He thinks he will be in so much pain he wants me to take care of the kids till he feels better. Im upset because like i said i just had a c-section i still need help myself. Would you be upset or am i overreacting

He will be in pain yes, but you have just had a major operation. He should really re scheduled his vasectomy, that can wait and it means he can help you until you feel better. It also means you will be able to help him when he has his vasectomy.

Can he not reschedule his appointment until you've fully healed? A vasectomy and a c section are widely different. You've had 7 layers of skin sliced open and recovering from growing a baby for 9 months. So yes I'd be upset. Do you have any other support to help?

Lol he's being dramatic. My husband got a vasectomy almost 3 years ago & he was just sore for a few days. Life continued as normal. I see no reason why he wouldn't be able to help you.

It’s a small out patient procedure, he’ll be tender but fine. You were literally gutted and had a human removed from you. He can either suck it up or reschedule.

He will be in pain, he's anticipating pain and he doesn't know the degree. He's just asking you in anticipation, this isn't something to get upset about in my opinion, but I would suggest in that case he postponed his surgery by a few weeks as it's not a smart idea for you to both be down from surgery.

Why the heck did this get scheduled so close together? I get where you are both coming from. Be sensitive to each other and partner through it or have him reschedule if you don’t think you can both handle home life.

Sounds like he’s a big baby who needs some growing up to do lol. Remind him a c-section is major surgery, heck show him a graphic or animated video on YouTube. 
Also, let him reschedule his appt until your fully healed. A few more weeks won’t make a difference.

He will be in pain. He’s going to be sore and will have restrictions. He can’t lift for a couple days and will be bruised. Albeit not a c-section but there is down time. Why didn’t you two plan this better?
