Can I apply foundation with my fingers?

Question

I am not good with makeup!  But I’ve always hated using brushes lol I think it’s a pain to clean them etc.  I’m a busy mom of three and am trying to learn some basic makeup.
Is there foundation you’d recommend that can be used with fingers to apply and blend?  Thanks!!

Please don’t listen to these people on here who don’t have any professional backings. I’ve had my cosmetology license for over 14 years, esthetician license for 9. Been at Sephora for about her 6 years, because a store director and I am a freelance make up artist. Your fingers are one of the best for application. Our body temperature helps to warm the product  allowing for a smooth, natural looking application. Don’t rub. And when working under the eye area, use your ring finger. It is the least strongest finger for that area. Them beauty blenders waste so much product. It’s a sponge, it absorbs. So when you’re applying you are picking up products too. Trust me! Use them fingers when you want. Especially when applying concealer!!!

I’ve always used my fingers. Not sure what these ladies are saying about it being bad for your skin? My clean hands do a great job. I have worked in the beauty industry btw and most makeup artists prefer using their fingertips for more natural coverage. Blenders are typically used for heavy coverage

You absolutely can apply it with your fingers. Most foundations can be applied easily with your fingers. It's not bad for your skin at all. ￼I love applying my Tarte Amazonian Clay stick foundation with my fingers. ￼

I like to use my cleaned fingers to rub in and then a beauty blender go to pat in pace, smooth, and blend.
