Dimitri/Dmitri if not Russian or Greek?

Would you find this strange? We live in the US and I really like the name, but wouldn’t want it to come off unusual or inappropriate. I have all Eastern European ancestry, but it’s not Slavic (mostly Lithuanian and Romanian instead), and baby’s dad has all Western European ancestry (mostly German).
