I need help/ advice for my wild 3 year old.
Well hes not that wild. He is very sweet loving, gives cuddles and kisses to me, our family, dogs, and his stuffed animals. But then other times.. like these past 2 days, hes been super hyper. Screaming “NO!” All day long. Being super bossy. He fell asleep in my arms right now sitting on the couch after a family birthday dinner past his bedtime. Because he said he wants to cuddle with me. Then i was carrying him to his bedroom as usual, but he suddenly woke up throwing the loudest most aggressive tantrum. He usually doesnt. He purposefully slammed down and spilled his glass of water all over the coffee table, floor, and my purse. He screamed at the top of his lungs “NOOOO” i had to close the windows. I laid him in bed but he tried to hit me many times, then he BIT me. Hes never bit me before so now im concerned. Again, this isnt everyday behavior, but the past 2 days hes been like this a lot. Me and his dad coparent, we each are in different relationships now and live apart, have been for almost 2 years now. I just dont know what to do. I told him ouch that hurts mommy in a gentle voice. Because it really threw me off guard, and he cried more but gently this time. I just left the room and told him ill leave him alone and ill be in the other room, but he continued to cry loudly again after pushing me away hitting me and trying to spit at me. Its hard and idk what to do. I was hit and abused as a child, and i wont ever put my hands on him or spank him. But i also cant let this happen and have him be this aggressive kid as he gets older. This is not like him and the older he gets the more independent and bossy he becomes. No one in the house fights, i dont fight with my boyfriend here. My family is quiet and likes peace. I know some of this is normal toddler behavior, but i need some advice, from a young first time mom. He just turned 3 in March.
By the time i finished typing this, he finally fell asleep in his room and is quiet. I feel bad like im not doing enough as a mom to direct him 😔
