Metformin question?

Anyone else with past pregnancy been told to stop taking it at 12 weeks, I am scared to stop taking it!

Answer

I stopped with my dd at 8 weeks, she is 5 now.  With this pregnancy I stopped at 12 weeks, so far so good.  19w6d.  You can continue to take it if you feel that you need to, there are studies that show continuing to take it helps prevent gestational diabetes and preeclampsia.  At this point, the Metformin isn't necessary to maintain the pregnancy.
