Crib Mobile?

Question

Baby's Crib Mobile?  Yay or nay?
At first I was like no... for what distractions when it's bed time?

But now I'm thinking yes...

Thoughts? 
Did you get one for your baby/children? Which did you get?!

Were going to get a little music player type thing instead. My stepson and nephews used it and it worked great apparently.

I got a simple one at Ikea. Mostly for decoration...

We chose music/light thing that attached to the side for our daughter over just a mobile. It can help soothe, give them something to do if they're awake (when older obviously) and ultimimately helps them sleep in any environment. 😊 We will do the same for this baby.

Someone gave one to us for our shower, otherwise I probably wouldn't have gotten one.

We made ours but also have a light up thing for the ceiling so she has something to focus on

I think it depends on the baby. My son loved his, so we got 1 for this baby incase she loves it too. I've seen other babies tho that could care less for one

Personally,  I wouldn't consider it a necessity.  My daughter ignored hers and my son was only mildly interested in his. A better investment might be one of the light up mobiles that attaches to the side of the crib and makes projections onto the ceiling.  They are around 20 bucks at Walmart.

I like the light up music boxes that attach to the side.  We had one for my son that had a remote to turn it off and on from outside his room.
