Advice!

Hi Glow World! We’ve been trying to get pregnant since December with no luck. I’m starting to feel extremely discouraged and my OB said we need to give it a year before we get any further tests done. Everyone I know is posting about becoming pregnant or their newborns and I’m happy for them but I also want that so bad it makes me depressed. Any advice?!

How are you tracking and confirming ovulation

You need to take your temps in the am at the same time each am on at least 3 hours of sleep before you move or get out of bed

I checked my temp maybe in March or April but it never went much higher than my baseline so I wasn’t sure if that was working or not

Yes! Add BBT it confirms ovulation and lets you know when you ovulated, dpo, luteal phase length (is from the day after ovulation to period which stays the same each cycle give or take 1-2 days. Average length is 12-14 days give or take 1-2 days.) when period is coming by temp drop or if you miss your period and your temp stays up then there is a chance for pregnancy

If your cycles are fairly regular opks are great but i know if you have something like pcos you have irregular cycles opks are not helpful hope this helps!

Something that my doctor suggested was taking baby aspirin every day after ovulation to help the baby “stick”. She told me this after a miscarriage and when we started trying again a few months later, I took the baby aspirin and now I’ll be celebrating my daughters first birthday in 2 weeks. Definitely talk to your doctor before though!

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling discouraged. Trying to conceive can be a difficult and emotional journey. It's important to remember that everyone's journey is different and there is no right or wrong timeline. It's also important to take care of yourself both physically and emotionally during this time. Consider talking to a therapist or joining a support group for individuals struggling with infertility. Remember to be kind to yourself and know that you are not alone.
