Weakened Cervix

Hi! I just found out I am pregnant 6 months after I lost my daughter. I was 18 weeks pregnant, no cramps, no bleeding & no signs of distress when I stood up to go use the restroom, she literally just fell out of me! She was attached to the cord & I had to rush to the ER and deliver the placenta.. Has anyone ever had a problem with an incompetent cervix? I feel like that is what happened & I’m sooo nervous, scared and anxious this time! Also, I heard you can stitch the cervix closed until time to deliver.. Has anyone ever had to do this & did it work?
