friends over me?

New Years eve was supposed to be spent with my boyfriend of 1 year and 8 months, but instead he chose to go to his friends house. so now, I am third wheeling with one of my friends and her boyfriend. I'm not complaining, but I would much rather spend it with him. does this mean I'm not as special to him as he is to me? am I not good enough anymore?
