I'm going to make a new snapchat account and when I do something fun I'm going to send it to that account and then at the end of 2016 I'm going to look at all the fun I had.

No. Most of them fail. Especially the typical "lose weight" one. I remember reading about the reason why (psychology wise) but I forgot. But in my opinion, they fail because in order to make a change you need to have will power and WANT to make the change. You can say "I'll lose weight" all you want, but in the end you truly need to WANT it which gives you the power to do it. Waking up and it being another day doesn't give you that.
