Which type of baby carrier

Question

First time mom-to-be (a bit overwhelmed with baby stuff). I was looking at baby carriers and see different types. Like there’s fabric kind and there’s padded types. Which kind in your opinion is better? Or just list the pros and cons of the ones you have. Thanks!

#1 is better. I hated the boba type wrap. My baby would be crying and I'd have to spend 5 minutes tangling myself up in this stupid piece of fabric. It was really annoying. It's so complicated you have to watch 10 minute videos to try and figure it out and it still doesn't work

Ergobaby has a newborn insert that you can put in the carrier and you can use it from birth to when baby has head control. Then you just take out the insert when baby outgrows it and use it normally. I did okay with the soft wraps but it never felt as secure to me as the structured carrier

I have both. #2 is better for newborns (#1 has a weight minimum and often wont have enough neck/head support). #1 is better for outside or when you're out of the house (#2 gets hot and is tricky to put on in public without the fabric fallling on the ground). #2 is better for baby to sleep (both my kids would take 2+ hr naps in #2 but never in #1 or in the crib) #1 is better if you have a husband who cant/wont figure out how #2 works but wants to help out.

I used 2 when she was a newborn and 1 now that she’s older. I hated how complicated the wrap was honestly. It was good when she was happy or sleeping but when she was upset or ready to eat, it took forever to get both of us out. I know there’s better kinds that snap but fit like the wrap. If i do it again, I’d get a different version of the wrap.

I like the wrap ones for when they are little (0-6m) and a structured one for when they are older. 
Look on Facebook marketplace to find some good deals so you can try both.

I had both of these and loved the wrap (#2) so much better. #1 hurt my back/shoulders and my baby always seemed uncomfortable in it especially around his legs. #2 is more versatile as well there’s lots of different ways you can wear it to carry baby in the front, on your side, on your back, etc. my son loved being in it and it didn’t hurt my back

N1- for when the baby can hold the head. N2- since NB and until you want really. I used more the N2 than N1. So easy to wear and so comfy for both of us

We have both, for newborn we have the solly baby fabric wrap & baby bjorn mini (the first because I wanted something lightweight and the second for slightly more structure). Once baby is bigger we have the sunveno carrier that both myself and my husband can use
