How bad does giving birth smell?

Do you smell all the blood and poop and everything? Is it really bad? Even if you're not focused on it, is it bad to others in the room?

I actually laughed out loud at this. Only because I don't remember smelling anything or smell being anywhere on my mind. You will poop when you start pushing. They take that away immediately. There was blood everywhere when I had my first and I don't recall smelling that either

When I witnessed a birth it had a sweet smell. It was strange, but I'll never forget it!

I didn't smell anything. My nurse removed any poop rather quickly. My husband said he barely noticed.

I agree with the other ladies you aren't focused on smells I don't remember anything except the bleeding or the first couple days is a different smell then period blood

The only thing that smelled about mine was the gas I had lol! I'm always gassy when I'm in labor!

I don't remember smelling anything. I had an epidural so of course I wasn't really focused on anything since I didn't really feel it. I don't think anything smells? Lol never thought about that. I mean when you're pushing you're pushing that's all you're focused on.

the only smell is the placenta but is not too much

I don't recall pooping? Geez I hope that didn't happen lol. I didn't smell anything I guess I washer really focused on the smell to think about it.
