Safe cities for families to live in Nashville TN?

Hi just wanted to see if anyone lives or has family members that live in a safe city in Nashville TN? My boyfriend had got asked about a job out there and it would be 3 years the money would be a lot for us but my biggest thing is safety neighborhoods. If we decided to go I would like to live in a safe/family friendly neighborhood there. It would be a big change for us as a family since we live in a city in Los Angeles county in California .
