Uti and sex?

Is it ok to have sex while having a uti ? I am on antibiotics and it doesn't hurt anymore but I'm curious if it makes it worse to have sex while having a uti ?? Thanks :)

Sex is not allowed if you have UTI and under medications. Might end up getting worst and the medication will never end.

You should wait till you are done with the pills. I know it's a hard and annoying wait. But it'll be worth it when the week is over.

Just pee after sex. If you're on BCP, some antibiotics (rifampin, nitrofurantoin, and a few others) can reduce the pill's effectiveness. Your partner is very unlikely to catch it because a) his ejaculate will flush out any of your bacteria entering near his tip and b) men have a much longer urethra and statistically have fewer UTIs for that reason.

You could pass it to him. If he wears a condom it might be okay but I'd wait. And if you're ovulating and on antibiotics then it's easier to get n pregnant. . .
