Should I make an appointment or not?

My fiance and I have decided that we wanted to try for a baby in a few months. I have been on a copper IUD for about 5 years. I had it removed about 2 months ago. My doctor told me that it could take 4-6 months for my body to balance out from having it for so long, but I've been having a weird issue. I'll have my normal cycle about every 29-32 days. But since my IUD was removed I've been having a normal cycle for 7 days, and then I'll stop bleeding for 3-5. Then start another 5-7 day period. Is this. Normal coming off an IUD? Should I make a doctor's appointment? I'm just confused about what's going on with my body.

Yes you have to give your body time (up to 18 weeks) for you to regulate again. They should have told you this information before removing your bc as well as given you information to take home with you. All they will tell you if you make an appointment is that this is normal and you have to give it time

When your Dr said it will take 4-6 months for your body to 'balance,' that's what he was talking about. He should've been clearer though. Give it time and if it doesn't regulate within that timeline, make an appointment.

i think when we use birth control give our body a chance to get back normal 1 yr to get pregnant  because the in still in your body

I got my IUD removed a few weeks ago and have not had a regular period since. This is normal. Your body is adjusting and needs time
