Do you and your SO constantly fight?

For those of you who have been in a rough patch with your SO, how do you stop the constant fighting so you can be happy with one another? Or at that point is the relationship done?

Answer

My boyfriend and I went through a rough patch for about 3 months where it was constant fighting and tears. We would scream at each other, fight about the silliest things, and would argue up to 3-4 times a day.

Things are finally MUCH better between us, and I've found that the secret is for the both of us to just stop being stubborn. A lot of our arguments came from both of us not wanting to admit when we did/said something wrong, or being extremely passive agressive when our feelings were hurt. We've both learned to just swallow our pride and apologize when things get heated between us, and when our feelings are hurt, we've learned to talk it out and discuss it in a calm, mature manner. No tears, no yelling, no passive aggression. It's worked wonders for us and we've been able to squash small issues before they blow up into something unnecessarily huge. Something we were unable to do before.

Every couple is different. You both just need to pinpoint what causes the fighting and the arguing and what the both of you can do to try and prevent it. Nobody is perfect, and sometimes everybody needs a little self evaluation to get back to being the best version of themselves that they can be. Once the both of you have done that, there will likely be a lot less tension in the relationship.
