Thoughts on age gap relationships?

My 24 year old sister is dating a 37 year old. They’ve been together for almost 3 years now but I really can’t get past the age gap. It just doesn’t feel natural.

You've got to wonder why a 34 year old was seeking a 21 year old. Usually there's some sort of manipulation involved. Not always, but usually. At 21, we are basically 3 years into adulthood. We are vulnerable to being moulded by men who want to control their partner. There's a reason they target young women, they want someone who's naiive to the mind games they play. I dated a 34 year old at 24, and he manipulated me the entire time. I never wanted to be with him but he played on my empathy. I see it everywhere now and never trust that a 20-something year old woman is actually happy, she's just made to feel happy because she doesn't know the truth.
I trust that your sister will realise eventually, and she'll be able to enjoy the rest of her 20s with more hindsight.

My boyfriend is about to turn 46 and I’m 27. We’ve been together for 2 and a half years. Literally the best relationship I’ve ever had in my life. We have a baby together too :) I don’t see anything wrong with age gaps unless they are illegal obviously.

My mom is 47 and my step dad is 29 going on 30… I’m 27. Sounds extremely crazy but as long as they are two consenting adults I don’t think it matters.

If they’re both legal, consenting adults it’s their choice to be in that relationship. 
Personally, large age gaps creep me out. I would never be with someone old enough to be my parent. I wouldn’t be with someone more than 3-4 years older than me. 
They started dating at 21 and 34…I feel that it’s a red flag. What 34 year old shares similar interests with someone who’s only 21? Two entirely different points in life.

They’re two consenting adults in an adult relationship. No I don’t see anything wrong with it. 
I was 18 when I met my husband who is 6 years older than me (obviously not as big of a gap lol) but we were married by the time I turned 20, together 8 years, 2 kids, very happy together. 
I was very mature for my age, knew exactly what I wanted in life (which has not changed), and he wasn’t interested in me because he was a predator, wanted to control me, or because he was immature…he knew I was a few years younger but he thought I was in my 20s when we first started dating. And honestly I love that there’s a little bit of years between us. He is at a maturity level that I wouldn’t have if I was with someone my own age since men typically don’t mature as quickly as women it seems, and it’s very reassuring as well as refreshing to be confident that I can trust his responses and reactions to be from a man who is completely responsible, strong, mature, and rational lol

I was 20 dating a 30 year old and it was truly amazing i ended things because my exhusband started threatening him but you shouldn'treally judge just be happy if they are happy sometimes older men are great ways to help the girl mature and see the world differently

Well, that is your own problem. But, for the sake of being clear and go deeper then the surface, is there anything else in the relationship that triggers you? Is he controlling, is he verbally abusive, is he keeping her from reaching her goals, is he manipulative? If non of those things are happening, their age difference is none of your business. None. Your opinion on her partner choice is irrelevant if they are both happy. If this relationship is healthy, I just hope you don’t give unwanted opinions to your sister because this could permanently damage your relationship with her.
