I've had Mirana for 5 years now. I had it placed after my daughter was born. Left her father, Dated a 18+ yr older man for about 4 1/2 yrs. Left him after a toxic relationship and met my wonderful husband. We met in July of 2022, first date in Sept and then decided to tie the knot May 4th. In March I had an appointment to remove my IUD due to it expiring, well it was stuck, 2 appts of trying to pull it out and breaking a piece of it ,they decided to do surgery. June 7th was my surgery date and boy was everyone shocked when the Dr said we were pregnant. Obviously they had to change to approach of trying to remove it for my safety and now baby. They were unfortunately unsuccessful. So now I am pregnant with an IUD somewhere in there with the baby. My post op is the 19th. Dr has mentioned my pregnancy may be labeled as high risk. Has anyone had or heard of this happening? Thank you in advance.
