2nd beta not recommended after decent first beta?

Has anyone not had a second beta recommended after a first beta due to a decent number? It seems like in the US a second one is always recommended to make sure it’s doubling but I did ivf in Europe and a second beta wasn’t recommended after a decent first result. Does anyone know why a second beta wouldn’t be recommended since doubling is what’s most important?

I am still going to get a second one but I am confused why they don’t recommend it and didn’t know if anyone else has had experience with a second beta not being recommended?
