I wasn’t well informed and I exclusively pumped on the highest setting with the wrong flange size for several months and my nipple shape seems to have been permanently altered and it is sensitive and even painful when applying any pressure to it. This is also after receiving a severe injury from nursing with a nipple shield that was way too small (one of the things that lead to exclusive pumping)

Has anyone else experienced permanent damage/painful scar tissue?

*I am not needing to discuss cancer or anything like that, I’m aware of that, it’s not the issue.*
