Teen parenting help

Long story short , my daughter was new to school this past year (7th grade)she made friends , then they all ended up ditching her. She’s starting making new friends and one girl she met through another friend. She hung out with the new friend then the first friend is now extremely jealous and mad they hung out together :/ my daughter is feeling so upset! She is wanting to make friends and expand friends not “take” friends from others or however it is perceived! How is she supposed to move forward? Why don’t girls this age want to make friends or expand their “groups” I feel terrible for her . But it seems to always be starting over . She’s really upset.
