The Future of Social Media
This group is basically dead, and I’ve noticed the entire app has considerably slowed down. We’ve already talked about why, but this seems to be a problem across social media now. Reddit is doing a blackout right now, and it’s future seems uncertain. Twitter has had nothing but problems since Elon Musk acquired it. Facebook/Instagram merging into Meta has seen mixed results with VR so far being a flop. TikTok is still extremely popular for now, but Montana has banned it, and there’s potential for other states to do the same.
So what does the future of social media look like?
Are we moving away from it being a critical part of communication?
Are you using it as much as in the past?
Are we moving away from text based communication into more visual formats being the go to?
Any other thoughts?
