Is my daughter eating too much?
My daughter is a month old and since coming home from the hospital she’s been on 3oz of breast milk or formula if I don’t produce enough. I am an exclusively pumping mama because I have severe sleep apnea and have a fear of falling asleep with her on my breast and suffocating her. Well anyway two days ago she literally ate every 45 minutes the same 3 oz as she normally does but was getting hungry sooner than normal. So yesterday I increased her to 4 ounces. She’s taking it well no problems but again she’s wanting to eat before even an hour. Is this normal?!
This is my second child and my son was premature so he was on a very strict schedule when it came to feedings. But my daughter is full term and I’m doing the whole cluster feedings to mimic breast feeding as much as I can but I just feel like she’s eating so much, but isn’t gaining a ton of weight per her pediatrician she’s slowly gaining and not as rapidly as they’d like.
