Should I be mad

Ok so my boyfriend went to this rave thing for New Year's <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android.eve">Eve</a>/ New Years and I was expecting for him to at least send me a "happy New Years" text but he didn't even do that. I texted him and he read the message not to long after I sent it. I wanted to be with him but he had already boughted the tickets to go there with his two friends and sister, should I be mad at that??
