Haha this is like when my OB found a sore down there and tested me for herpes! I was so freaked out especially since I've only ever had sex with my husband! I felt so dirty. It only ended up being irritation thank God! But I've had BV and it's easily treated. Just an imbalance of good and bad bacteria and can happen for many reasons. Make sure you are washing down there with only warm water and also my doctor told me to not wear underwear at night!

BV is about the only genital infection that can be an STD or can just happen because things get unbalanced in your vaginal system (like a yeast infection). Doesn't mean he's cheating or anything
