DHEA: anyone else taking this?

I'm 32 and diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. Other than that, I'm pretty healthy. Has anyone had success or was told DHEA 25mg 3x/day might help? My fertility doc suggested I take it. Been trying for our first for almost 3 years. I'm trying my best to stay positive. Wishing fertility dust sparkles to all in this new year!

I take 50 mcg of DHEA daily for adrenal fatigue. My primary recommend it and she said it will only help since we are ttc. I take mine around lunch time because it was keeping me up at night. I do feel like it gives me more energy.

I haven't started the CoQ10 yet but am starting today. I am now sure I'm not pregnant (just that feeling) so feel comfortable starting it. Last week I was sure I was, but I also started progesterone cream this cycle and think that was the cause. I will let you know if I feel any side effects of the CoQ10.  Hannah, wish you luck with the dhea. My OB said she would recommend I see a fertility dr at 35 if I'm still having issues. I'm not totally ruling it out but don't want to go to extreme measures due to expense and the fact that my husband and I will still be happy with one child.

I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriages, "T."  I just read your "just bitching" post and it cracked me up! Linda, I actually just started Coq10 last month. My doctor said it takes about three months to see any noticeable changes. Thanks ladies for the input and best of luck to all!

My OB said to only take it under watch from a physician, so I'd say you've got a good start. I've heard really good things about it and asked because I'm really worried about my egg quality after 2 miscarriages in 3 cycles. I have one child and am thankful for that, so have no plans on seeing a fertility doctor at this point. My OB did suggest CoQ10 for me since we don't know what the problem is and all my tests have been normal so far (hormone testing).  It can help egg quality. She didn't want me to do the dhea because it can cause negative results in people with normal reserve.
