IVF and feeling alone
Hey ladies. I’m days away from starting my Stim meds for my first round of IVF after trying for a year with my husband. I’m 35.5 and we’ve been diagnosed with unexplained secondary infertility.
Is anyone else having a hard time feeling alone in this? My husband understands the best he can I suppose, but I don’t feel like he really gets it.
The comments from my family and friends and coworkers…
“Why don’t you just adopt?”
“Maybe this isn’t God’s plan for you.”
“Maybe you have a vitamin deficiency.”
“Your sisters had no problems getting pregnant.”
“I’d lend you my uterus if I wouldn’t get fat.”
“Maybe you should use donor eggs.”
“I know someone who is 40 and just got pregnant.”
It’s just really taxing and I haven’t even started yet. Any support would be helpful!
