Can it be not wiping myself properly ?

I've been wearing white panties to see my discharge lately and yesterday i had a dark brown stain in my panties but it didn't feel sticky like discharge and when I did have discharge it was white , i'm so confused

Brown discharge is old blood. When you spot or bleed very lightly, the blood is slow to make it out of your vagina. This means it gets exposed to air for longer and turns brown by the time you see it in your panties, toilet paper, or pad/panty liner.
