Is this an early miscarriage?

Question

A couple years ago, I went to the toilet and this came out of me while on my period 
I’ve always wondered if I had a miscarriage or if it was something else ￼
I can’t remember if it was a late period, all I do remember is that I took a pregnancy test afterwards and it was negative ￼
Can someone give me some insight? ￼

It looks like uterine lining, which is not uncommon especially in particularly heavy periods. If you took a pregnancy test right after and it was negative, it is likely it wasn’t a miscarriage. When I had a miscarriage, the doctor told me to keep testing until I got a negative to be sure my hCG dropped down to baseline. It took two weeks to get a negative test.

Answer

If you took a preg test right after and it was negative, it’s doubtful you were pregnant. Your HCG would not drop that quickly.  
Looks like just uterine lining to me
