Mid cycle bleeding?

I had some heavy spotting that I thought was my period again...but it was the 16th day of my cycle when I was supposed to be ovulating. Thankfully the bleeding stopped today, for now. Should I be concerned? Just turned 42 yesterday!

Did you ever find out what this was? I have the same thing today. We're TTC and I'm 28. I had high ovulation the last two days but today it was low and I was bleeding heavier than any spotting I've ever had mid cycle. It was all day thus far and I should have probably worn a liner. Very mucous like.

I have the same thing. Mine just started in October 2015. Every few months I have mid cycle bleeding when I am ovulating. This is due to ovarian cyst and uterine fibroids. My doctor is not concerned and his cure was to go on the pill. I can not do that because I am ttc. My next appointment is in February and we will see what to do next.

I had fibroids removed after seeing a dr for the same so it's a good idea to get checked out just in case! It didn't stop it but it doesn't happen as often.

I think you should mention this to your doctor, its not normal.
