My brother agreed to watch my kid last night. I told him I would be home around midnight ish, to which he said ok.

I then called him while I was out to ask if he was ok with spending the night cause I wanted to stay out later. ( friends we’re heading to an after spot). And he agreed. I ended up getting home at about 4am.

My kid told me that my brother was telling him “your mom is too old to be going out. Instead, she needs to be teaching you how to be a man”.

He also left an open Bible on my table & the chapter is talking about temptation, and taking care of yourself and being healthy, etc. To which I think was intentional.

And for background purposes, I hardly ever go out. But I figure it’s summer, my friends invited me, let me enjoy myself. I’m a mom 24/7 -doing it alone.

But being 30 & a mom, I can see how it’s wrong that I’m getting home at 4am. But another part of me is thinking, I trust my son is safe & I too enjoy to go out and do something for me every once and awhile.
