Any tips for breastfeeding when sick?

I woke up with the worst stomach flu I’ve had in years! I’ve barley been able to even stomach fluids which is definitely a problem because my daughter is exclusively breastfed. Do any of y’all mamas have any tips to help us get through this? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Keep trying to find something that might stay down. other than that there isnt much to do. I had a really bad roumd of food poisoning when nursing my youngest, hold baby in one arm and a bucket in the other.

I've had both a stomach flu and cold flu while breastfeeding. Wash your hands before touching anything for the baby, wear a mask, and stay hydrated. You might have to nurse a couple extra times a day to boost your supply if it starts to drop. It's important that your baby gets your milk while you're sick, it's loaded with antibodies to protect your baby! If you run a fever Tylenol is safe for breastfeeding and if you need to take a medicine you're not sure of it's safety while breastfeeding then call a pharmacist so they can look it up for you. Try and rest any chance you get!
