Is he going to come back again? Is he done being jealous of my friends?

I had a friends with benefits with someone I work with. He turned it into something romantic and then broke it off for another girl. But definitely left me as an option bc he would ask to still be added on my social media. Then came back and said he wanted to be serious. We start hooking up again. He made it fun at first but then started to be really controlling. Told me that if I was friends with this one guy he’d be done, manipulated stories of my friends to try to convince me to be done with them, yelled at me WHILE AT WORK one time over one of the guys we work with hitting on me, would be upset over me “not responding fast enough”, started asking who I would be texting during work, accused me of secretly dating another guy, it was just bad. The last 4 of those were within the last 2 weeks and the last three was not even a week ago. But it felt weird bc he also decreased attention he gave me and seemed less interested in sex (which was weird bc he used to be all over me lol) so I wondered if he had something else anyways.

Then my friend made a comment to one of his friends that she thought he hated her bc of our friendship and it got repeated to him. So he told me that bc of it, he’s worried that hanging out with me will interfere with work. So I said we won’t but that he can’t be jealous of these guys anymore. He claims he isn’t (lol) and that it “isn’t even about the comment” but that we weren’t working out. He said he “does want me but that there’s just no chemistry right now, so he thinks he needs to be alone for now”. My assumption is he found something else again lol but his “wanting me” comment makes me think he’ll come back bc he did something similar last time. And last time he was still jealous. So I’m worried it’ll be worse this time.
