There's different types of parenting like positive parenting, assertive parenting, attachment parenting, authoritarian parenting strict parenting.

I have tried to be relaxed about everything basically let the kids run wild but I have boundaries and I try to teach them I teach them about manners and educate them but when they misbehave I gently say No but it's like saying no don't do that kids still want to jump run in the house etc. and I redirect to correct but I want to change how I parent

What do you do when children don't listen or follow the rules in the house if they purposely do naughty things like you tell them throw away the garbage in the garbage bag you explain to them which bag is garbage which is recycling and they laugh and throw garbage in the recycling so what can you do about that attitude and behavior like not wanting to wear appropriate shoes for anything like wanting to wear slippers for outside when there's specific shoes for certain things like play shoes. It's playing and leaving everything out, it's saying no I will not brush teeth in the morning
