Is it easy to just walk out of a abusive situation?

Is it easy to just walk out of an abusive relationship with a narcissist who has been physically abusive in the past and present verbally abusive and blames me for every single thing???
 Everyone says JUST LEAVE and your fault and you’re putting yourself in this situation and not my problem cos you won’t leave  🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♀️ 
 I don’t think they get its not that EASY to just pack and get out especially with teens

It took me 8 tries and 18 years… and it was the hardest thing i’ve ever done even though i knew it was the right thing

I’ve never stayed in an abusive situation but I also don’t assume it’s easy because I know plenty of people who have a hard time leaving. I also studied psychology so I know there’s a vicious cycle of abuse that keeps people stuck in such situations. 
I’d never say it’s easy just because it was easy for me to leave.

It's not easy, but you have to do it anyway. Do you know what else is not easy? Staying in a terrible relationship. Watching your kids grow up in a situation like that. Seeing what it does to them when they're older. Seeing what it does to your relationship with them. Realizing what it's done to you mentally. The longer you stay, the worse all of this gets. It's definitely not an easy thing to do, but it is something that must be done. The longer you stay, the more trauma you and your children experience.

I've only been in a verbally abusive relationshipbut I can't imagine it's any easier to leave a physically abusive one. You always have that part of you that wants to stay because you love/care about them still.It took me forever to leave my ex because we used to have our "good days" and "maybe things will get better like they used to" but from my experience I've had so many better days without them in it. I haven't talked to them in a year and I'm still getting over everything I went through. But that relief you feel when it's finally over is refreshing.
