Did you take any breastfeeding classes? Are they worth it? Share your experiences!

Hey mamas! I'm debating whether or not to take a breastfeeding class before the baby arrives. Have any of you taken one? If so, was it worth it? Did you find it helpful? I would love to hear your experiences!

It's worth it! Any extra knowledge will increase your chances in being successful with breastfeeding. Take your partner too!

I did and I think it was totally worth it. It helped me understand what to expect for both the baby and myself, like the amount of milk I should see in the beginning , how to position and different options, how long the baby should be nursing, how to go about determining if supplementing was needed. They also provided contacts for lactation consultants. Breastfeeding did not come natural to me and I really didn’t know that until I started. I had to exclusively pump after 2 months with my 1st baby and I was able to exclusively breastfeed with my 2nd baby. If you have the opportunity i would recommend taking the class and give yourself all the resources you can to help you on that journey.
