Hello 2024 Mommies 😊 when are you having your first scan?

I’m cheerful 35 year old and this my first pregnancy. I am living abroad and my doctor says that I can only get an scan after the 12 week. I was just wondering, if this is the norm? When would you have your first scan?

Congratulations!🎉🙏 depends on your region i guess, here in the Netherlands you get an early ultrasound at 6 weeks if you have miscarried before (it’s called a medical indication). If you have any red flags, severe cramping, bleeding etc. They will check up earlier to rule out ectopic pregnancies. I would see it as a blessing to not be in that “risk zone”.

I am having my first ultrasound at the end of this month I will be roughly around 8 weeks and 1 day. I was 9 week with my second and my first not until 20 weeks.

In the UK the first scan is at 12 weeks

I have one 7/21 with my doctor, I also scheduled one at a boutique ultrasound place on 7/17 because I have no patience and have had a loss before .

Had mine at 6w2d but measured 5.3 and so have another next week at what will be 7w1d 🥰

My first appointment/ultrasound is 7/28. I should be around 8 weeks then.
