Where Do you get your News?

Where do you get your news from?  What do you find most credible?  What do you find least credible?  What got you into watching what you do today?

I watch local news station or I’ll head about something through social media and then research it.

I started watching the “owned” videos of the conservative right.  It was fun and troll-y to have conversations like that.  But it wasn’t productive.  I was brought in by the controversy, but I stayed for the content.  
So people like Jordan Peterson really made you look hard at my own life and see where I could improve on while being very thoughtful with his words.  Again, the controversy brought me in, but the content kept me in that space.  I’m primarily podcasts.  1 right wing, 1 centrist, 1 tradition liberal.

Honestly, I don’t listen to any news. 
I legit got shingles from the stress that the news gave me about 2 years ago so I am taking a LONG break from it. 
I voted for “social media” because if I see someone post a thought provoking article or something of importance I will look into it. Usually I Google several article to try to get a clear picture. But other than that, I don’t watch the news.  
I live out the in country with my family. We often stay home, play outside, tend to the animals, read books, garden, cook, learn about God, etc. Right now, this is what feels rights with my soul.

All of the above. For local, I follow local papers and social media sites. For anything big, I will find the topic on several sources and piece together the truth. If theres a video, I find the original. I very rarely trust what a specific new source has provided. 9 times out of ten, theres been an edit or a biased spin. Context is important and most news outlets dont provide it.

I don’t read or listen to the news at all. It’s all garbage anyway. I might happen to hear snippets on the radio and that’s about it, unless it’s local and pops up in my local community FB group.

I like the local newspaper in my city, but they might be much better quality than others. The National Post in Canada is quite good. Other than that, I get updates from Insta, podcasts, and friends and family. I really like the Daily Wire on YouTube, especially Michael Knowles, but that's more like entertainment/cultural commentary than "staying informed." 
I think national TV news (MSNBC, FOX, CNN, CBC) is absolute brain cancer! Seriously, I think you would be better off just living under a rock than listening to that trash! Almost everything they cover is framed in such a dishonest and even manipulative way. 
In general, I think also "staying informed" is a bit overrated. Aside from doing my research before an election, I think being more unplugged and even uninformed is sometimes better than having politics and world events that I basically have no control over at all affect my day-to-day emotional state. 
The World will keep turning even if I'm not paying attention to it for awhile 😅
