How early can you take a pregnancy test

Hey ive been on the nuva ring for 6 years(same boyfriend for that time also) an never had a problem im using it correctly, but my boyfriend said he would pull out and didnt so now im freaking out about being pregnant even tho its happened before with no pregnancy it was 7 days ago an i took a test today but i feel like its way to soon to know but at the same time i needed some relief
