How much do you spend on groceries?

How much does everyone spend on groceries? I usually do about $150 once a month and get all my essentials. But when my husband comes home on the weekends we end up spending another $50 to $75. It's only me and my daughter, plus SO on weekends. Is that normal?

Just me and my husband for now and we spend too much on food. Not even sure how much...trying to get better though. Actually, we have been doing better at least in that we are eating out less and making our own food more.

I'm more of the problem, I will only eat food that I really want to eat (if my alternatives are something I don't really want and not eating, I'll probably skip the meal). I pretty much won't eat leftovers ever, I eat lunch out every day at work and when we cook I'm not even good at doing that on a budget! My husband will at least eat the leftovers so they don't go to waste.

For just my hubby and I we spend about $200 a month on groceries. We don't buy meat from the store we buy hunting license/tag ($60) and feeds us for a whole year with just the 2 or 3 deer we get. Don't know how some people can go to the store every week and spend $100-200...Id go broke if I did that. SAMs club is my friend for toiletries. For the 2 of us, a pack of tp at SAMs club can last us about 3 to 4 months.
