I’m a SAHM and am stuck at home due to medical issues. I’ve taken up the hobby of bird watching within the last year and it’s one of the things that help my days feel less monotonous.

A few months ago my 5 year old randomly asked if I love the birds more than him.

This took me super off guard because I pour 110% of myself into parenting and letting them know how much I love them.

I told him of course not, I love him more than anything and I considered taking them down because of how upset it made me feel that he would think that.

My husband said to keep them up because it’s important to have hobbies outside of being a parent.

Well tonight my son randomly asks the same thing again and we go through the same convo, nope, love you more than anything, am I doing something that makes you feel that way? To which he just smiled and said he wasn’t sure.

What do I do here?
