Will people shorten my daughters name of Adeline to “Addie”

100% that SOMEONE will call her Addie for short at some point in time.

Someone might, but if your daughter doesn’t like Addie, then she can simply say “oh I prefer to go by my full name which is Adeline.”
I don’t think random people would do it, but when she develops friends and whatnot, they may end up calling her that.

I go by Katelyn in professional/educational settings and people always call me katie. I hate the nickname katie so i just started going by Kate to remedy that. Moral is people will call them whatever they feel like, it will probably get shortened 😂
