A pee test can't tell about ectopic. An ultrasound is needed to find out the placement of the babe in the uterus.

The only way to determine an ectopic is through beta hcg blood levels and ultrasound.

I had an ectopic and my hcg was erratic, but at levels higher than a urine test would have noticed. (That is, they were dark the whole time--and weeks later, in fact.) Blood tests showed it.

Urine tests cannot indicate having an ectopic pregnancy, blood test is the next best thing but an ultra aound is the only 100% way.
